I have been a photographer and videographer for over 15 years. I started out with black and white darkroom photography and later received formal training in digital color media from the University of Utah. I am a FAA Certified commercial drone pilot as well as commercial real estate professional.
In 2019 I moved back to St. Louis to help my father and his partner start a new commercial real estate fund, BurkHill Real Estate. At BurkHill I have been learning the ropes in the CRE industry, but it also given me plenty of opportunity to use my digital media experience. I was surprised at how much we rely on media and how often material needs to be updated. There are parallels to the residential real estate market, but it also has its own unique challenges and requirements that only a CRE professional can fully understand.
Working with other firms such as Gershman Commercial Real Estate and Cushman & Wakefield has led me to understand how valuable my CRE experience is to my clients. I often hear from them how nice it is to have someone that they can rely on who understands their needs and strategies without constant direction and oversight. I understand what CRE professionals because I am a CRE professional.
